What is a Blanket Buddy?

This ingenious invention is actually a retractable suspender system that keeps your covers place no matter how much you or your partner tosses and turns.

The Blanket Buddy is a retractable suspender system that helps keep your blanket hog from stealing the covers.

So even if your dear, sweet blanket hog rolls over, the Blanket Buddy will retract the covers right back where they belong. On you!

Adjustable elastic straps keep the blanket in place. And they come with a lifetime guarantee.

It’s made of high-quality woven elastic in your choice of white or black and has clamps available in 5 colors which fasten your sheet and blanket together to keep them in place.

The clamps have plastic teeth which will not harm your bedding. And the straps are adjustable so they can fit on any standard size bed from a crib to a king-size mattress.

Who you callin’ a Blanket Hog?!

Sleeping with a blanket hog is no fun

Unless your partner is literally grabbing and pulling the blanket off you while you sleep, you know that it’s probably not intentional. They just roll over and the blanket goes with them.

But when you are the one waking up freezing all the time, all bets are off.

Sleeping with a blanket hog can turn a peaceful nights rest into a battle!

What was supposed to be a peaceful night sleep just turned into a tug of war. Now it’s intentional!

If you sleep by yourself…

Here’s a scenario you might be familiar with. You’ve had a hard day, and want nothing more than to sleep peacefully in your nice warm bed.

If the stresses of the day end up giving you nightmares, you may find yourself tossing and turning, kicking off the covers and sheets and leaving them bunched up in a pile or on the floor (like your dirty laundry in the corner). I see you!

Don’t you love when your blankets bunch up?

Your kid is the Tasmanian Devil when he sleeps

I don’t know about you, but my kid performs Kung Fu in his sleep. He spins, twists, and kicks and ends up with the blankets half off in the middle of the night.

It gets old having to cover him up every night just to have him kick the covers off again.

My kid twists and turns like a tornado when he sleeps. Blanket Buddy keeps the covers on him like a champ!

It’s even more fun when we co-sleep!

I’m kidding. It’s not.

Not only does he kick the covers off, but he also kicks me and hubby. And the dog.

Speaking of the dog…

Don’t get me wrong, I love my dog. And I don’t really mind him sleeping in bed with us.

But when he plants his fat butt down on the bed, there is no moving him. He is firmly in place with the covers under him and off of me.

Even my foofy dog is a blanket hog

And if you co-sleep with your pets, you know you don’t dare disturb them by grabbing the blankets or actually gasp shifting position.

Maybe, just maybe, YOU are the blanket hog…

Shame on you!

Really? Who sleeps like this?!

But if you want to be a considerate partner, the Blanket Buddy is your answer.

And as an added bonus, Blanket Buddy allows you to make the bed with just a flick of the wrist. So now you have no excuse for not making the bed.

How to Install the Blanket Buddy

  1. Place your blanket buddy on the top of the bed and use the adjuster to increase or decrease the size of the strap and leave about 3-4 inches to hang off of each side.
  2. Starting at least 4-6 inches from the foot of the bed, fully open the clip and place your top sheet (if you use one) and blanket inside the clip and fasten.
  3. Slip the elastic under your mattress and walk it to the other side of the bed and clamp the sheet and blanket on the other side.

Boom! You’re done.

Extra tips:

  • If you have a footboard – you may need to physically lift the mattress slightly to ensure the elastic is securely underneath. Enlist the help of a friend if you have a heavy mattress.
  • If one side of your bed is against the wall – you may want to fold the blanket a bit before clipping in place. This helps keep the blanket centered on the bed.

Where can you find the Blanket Buddy?

This is a brand new product – made in America, just launched in November of 2017 but is expected to be sold at Bed, Bath, & Beyond stores in the very near future! It also comes with a lifetime guarantee.

However, you can get them now before they hit the big box stores on Amazon here!

And if you are planning on getting more than one, you can get extra pairs at a discount by purchasing the product directly from their website http://www.blanketbuddyworld.com

I don’t sleep with a blanket hog BUT I feel blankets aren’t big enough. When one person moves a tiny bit there’s not enough blanket to cover both comfortable. We sleep with two blankets now. I’d call the dog a blanket hog but can’t because he gets under the blankets, leaving his fur on my sheets LOL.

I think if you ask my husband, he’ll tell you that I’m the blanket hog. But in fact, he hates sleeping with heavy blankets so he removes it.

This is too awesome! My hubby and I each have our own blankets on the bed (he only wants one and I want a bunch, so it works). But I can absolutely understand why some may need a blanket buddy. Must be a lifesaver!
