Why You Should Try Tea Tree Oil for Acne Prone Skin

I’m in my 40s and suffer from wrinkles and hormonal acne. So I’m always looking for products that will help calm my skin without drying out my face. I know that many people swear by using Tea Tree oil for acne, but for me, essential oils are extremely overpowering. So when I had the chance to review this Tea Tree face wash and Tea Tree moisturizing face cream from Era Organics, I was excited to see how well it would perform.

People swear by Tea Tree oil for acne, but it can be drying for mature skin. But the Tea Tree skincare line from EraOrganics has been a game-changer. Check out my review here! Share on X

Why do I have to suffer from horrible skin?

One of the biggest beauty problems I’m facing as I’m getting older is my aging skin. I’m getting fine lines and wrinkles, but I still break out like a freaking teenager!

The only difference is instead of breaking out from oily skin, my acne is now caused by hormones.

Adult acne is really stubborn. Damn hormones!

Either way, it’s seriously stupid and majorly embarrassing. Like, can’t a girl catch a break?

What’s the big deal about Tea Tree Oil?

For one, did you know that Tea Tree Oil is naturally antimicrobial?  This is why it’s effective against things like acne, bacterial infections, athlete’s foot, psoriasis, eczema, and more.

One of the most noticeable effects of using Tea Tree Oil is the pleasant (or sometimes unpleasant) little tingle it gives you when it comes in contact with your skin.

I regularly use a little Tea Tree oil concoction to help combat my greasy hair and flaky scalp (yep, I have that problem too – yay).

Tea Tree Oil is great for so many things. I even use it on my scalp! Was it snowing that day?

But essential oils can be extremely overpowering and also very messy. And Tea Tree oil can also be quite drying on already dry, mature aging skin.

I’m not going to lie. I was a little concerned about what the Era Organics Tea Tree Oil skincare product line would end up doing to the sensitive skin on my face.

I got much more than I bargained for.

In fact, these Tea Tree oil products have become game-changers for my skin and my wallet.

Here’s what I discovered…

Era Organics Tea Tree Oil Face Wash

Normally when I wash my face, I go over every part, including my closed eyes to help remove mascara and eye makeup. But since this is a Tea Tree Oil product, I was very careful not to use it over my eyes the first time I tried it.

The consistency is creamy with a subtle scent of Tea Tree Oil.

But there was no tingle, which is a good thing! It created no irritation and left my skin feeling super clean.

Era Organics Tea Tree Oil face wash is light and creamy.

The next use, I figured what the hell. I’m going to just use it over my entire face (including over my CLOSED eyes) and see if it burns.

It was fine! No burning.

Look at all these amazing natural ingredients!

Look at all these natural ingredients in the Era Organics Tea Tree Oil Cleanser!

So now I know I can safely use it to remove makeup and daily dirt and grime in one go with this face wash.

No need for a separate makeup remover, so you can save money too. Score!

You can find Era Organics Tea Tree Oil Face Wash here for around $17.

Can you really fight acne and wrinkles at the same time?

Everyone knows that to keep wrinkles at bay, you need to have a good moisturizer. But….

I hate moisturizers.

Moisturizer always leaves my skin feeling greasy and gross. And living in Phoenix, where the temperature is a million degrees for 9 months out of the year, it only makes me sweat and clogs my pores.

This does not help with the acne situation.

So I usually have to decide which skin problem I hate more, wrinkles or acne?

I always wished there was a natural product out there that would help keep my skin hydrated without exacerbating my acne.

That’s where Era Organics Tea Tree Oil Moisturizing Face Cream comes into play.

Era Organics Tea Tree Oil Face Cream

The face cream comes in a cute little mason jar.

The consistency is thick with a subtle scent of Tea Tree Oil. You just need to rub your fingers across the cream and rub it into your skin.

Era Organics Tea Tree Oil Face Cream is thick! A little goes a long way.

Within seconds, it sinks right into your skin.

And guess what? It has absolutely no greasy feel! Hooray!!!

I like to use it at bedtime and my skin still isn’t greasy after a restless night of dreaming and hot flashes.

But the best thing is that not only does moisturize your skin, it also helps to fight acne at the same time.

I’m even seeing improvement with my old acne scars!

Look at what Era Organics Tea Tree Moisturizer can do!

Since it’s a moisturizer, it heals acne and doesn’t dry out my skin like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide.

You can get Era Organics Tea Tree Oil Face Cream here for under $20.

I often use tea tree oil products for hair and skin. This brand looks amazing. I haven’t heard of ERA Organics before but it looks excellent. Tea tree oil is something that really works to keep my skin clear or blemishes. I notice a big difference when I don’t use it.

Have you found out what your skin doesn’t like?I have noticed that I get acne when I start applying lotion that contain lemon or coconut.
    So I avoid these ingredients.
I’m still discovering what else my skin doesn’t like.
