Who Am I?
My name is Melanie and I am a spunky Generation X career mom.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, then moved to Vegas for a few years before ultimately settling down with my family in Phoenix, AZ. I work full time at my day job and then come home to my 3 boys – my son Jaxon, my husband Brian, and our dog Archibald Nibbler (Archie for short).
I take pride in being low-maintenance and frugal. I love finding creative ways to save and make extra income with very little effort.
While I am a very hard worker when it comes to my job, I am fairly undomesticated. I don’t enjoy cooking or cleaning, so I am always looking for products and hacks to make mundane tasks easier and fun.
The slogan “Work smarter, not harder” could be my personal motto.
Being an old-school goth, I’m intrigued by all things dark, mysterious, and maybe even a little macabre. I love alternative fashion, industrial music, and twisted TV shows.
What is Cheap & Cheeky All About?
Cheap & Cheeky originally started off in 2014 as a tiny review blog called Enjoy Freebies.
After some fresh re-branding, Cheap & Cheeky is not only a trusted name for product reviews, but also focuses on innovative ways to get more out of life on a budget.
I speak to my readers like I speak to my friends – with a hint of wit, a dash of sarcasm, and a side of sauce.
I only post reviews on products that I have personally tried and tested. And I’ve reviewed everything from makeup to skincare, to gadgets, to food, to toys…you name it.
In addition to talking about the product, I also show how to use it. This really helps a potential buyer make a decision.
I often get my family to help test out products with me and feature them frequently in my reviews. My son loves trying out new toys and games, and my dog loves to try out treats. No surprise there!
My favorite topics are skincare and makeup, health and wellness, unique products for the home, and ways to save money.
I also enjoy throwing in a cheeky rant & ramble – just to spice things up.
What Makes Cheap & Cheeky Different?
In addition to my blog, I also have a blossoming YouTube channel, that currently has over 2000 subscribers and is steadily growing.
I love to incorporate my videos into my blog posts for double the exposure. And one of the great things about YouTube is that it continually generates views over time. It’s permanent!
This means double the exposure for your brand!

Sponsored Posts
I will write an exclusive post on my blog where your brand will be mentioned in the post that will be emailed to my subscribers, and advertised to all of my social media accounts. I will also include a link to where the product will be sold so that readers can purchase the product directly. I must be able to personally test and keep the product for review. If I am not satisfied with your products I will email beforehand. I reserve the right to change this price at any time depending on requirements. I kindly request 30 days from the date the item is received to complete a blog review. I am also open to negotiating for the value of the product in exchange. NoFollow links only, please.
Giveaways
If you would like to include a giveaway, I will do so at no charge! For giveaways, I require the product for myself to keep for review and the sponsor is responsible for shipping one (or provide a code) to the winner. I will need to be provided with tracking information to assure that the winner receives the product in a timely fashion. The giveaway will be on 2 pages – one, at the end of a sponsored post and the other on a dedicated “Giveaways” page. I usually host giveaways for two weeks. These posts will be promoted on most of my social networks multiple times.
YouTube Video Review and How-To
I will review your product and provide a how-to video. YouTube videos are one of the most effective ways of getting people interested in purchasing your product! I will also post a link to where the product can be purchased. This option is available a’ la carte or in addition to a blog review. The YouTube video will be promoted on my social networks as well.
